That's right. We are back in England. But this adventure is far from over!
So what happened? Did the wheels finally come off of the 'allseven' machine? Did Sue and Phill have a cross word? Were this pair of vagrants finally called home by an inexplicable urge to work for a living?
Not as such
Lets take you back to a conversation we had during early March.
"YES," exclaimed an excited Phill, throwing a punch in the air.
"Oh my god," agreed Sue, resting her chin on Phill's shoulder in the corner of a smoke filled internet café in Buenos Aires.
Questioning glances came our way from Marlboro puffing Argentinians as we 'high fived.'
St Albans City FC had won again.
"Sue, we have to go back for the Weymouth game," Phill continued. "It will be the championship decider, I've waited for almost 100 years for this" he laboured.
The level headed little blondie, now sat bolt upright, delivered a salvo of objections that could have sunk the Belgrano (had it still been afloat).
The weeks went by and Saturday lunchtime visits to the same internet cafe resulted in the same yelps of excitement. Another three points. And another.
The decision was eventually reached. We paid a visit to the British Airways office and secured passage on the sweetest of chariots. We clutched our tickets, Sue with an expression of thoughtfulness, Phill looking more like a lunatic with his knife stuck in the toaster.
Phill danced round the living room of our apartment gleefully singing "we're all going to Weymouth, la la la la."
That was it really. We landed back at Heathrow on 12th April, after a journey lasting more than 20 hours and surprised the heck out of both sets of parents and friends alike.
In a twist of irony, having travelled through Southern Africa and South America without any problems, we were finally robbed in Weymouth - robbed of 3 points.
We will remain here until after the play offs in early May (hopefully seeing City safely into the Conference Nationale) before returning to Latin America and normality.
Our plans for the next 12 months of our trip will be posted in the next week or so.
