After setting off from London, with Darren joining me on the tour this time, our Insight Tour included a visit to many European countries over the next few weeks. Here's what we did in France : * Ferry from Dover in England to Calais in France - Eiffel Tower & River Seine in Paris ; * Paris - Champs Elysees & Arc De Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Darren & I left the tour for the afternoon & went to Euro Disney by train, Montmatre, Red Light District, tasting Escargot ! ; * River Loire - Chateau of Amboise - Cognac vineyards - Bordeaux ; * the very inspiring torch procession at Lourdes ; * over to Spain (refer to seperate postcard for Spain) ; * back in France, headed to Nice, via the Camargue & Provence ; * Nice - Promenade des Anglais, Swimming in the Mediterranean, Monaco (refer to seperate postcard for Monaco). After all the years of wanting to see France, since I had studied the language at high school for several years, it was very nice but not as good as I had expected it to be.
