Alli & Pete's Adventures
This was a long weekend to the Czech Republic with my friend Simon. We stayed in a 4 star hotel and did lots of walking about Prague, where there is just so much to see and do. It was great going at this time of year, as it was freezing cold and everything looked foggy and mysterious, especially when we visited the Jewish cemetery ! We walked along the famous Charles Bridge where there are lots of statues decorating its length, until we reached the Castle on the other side. Walking along the river bank was great, especially when I watch the video clip of INXS where Michael Hutchence sings 'Never Tear Us Apart' as he walks along this very spot of the river ! I bought a couple of marionettes, which the people of Prague are famous for making. It was great standing in the town square and watching the famous clock as it struck the hour, when the doors to the clock face open and some puppets come out and go along the front of the clock, before disappearing back in again until the next hour arrives. This is a very lively city and well worth visiting for a long weekend, any time of year.
