Even hotter today than yesterday and by evening quite sultry. We spent the morning by the pool again, reading. Bob had poured me a monster Courvoisier when we got back to the cabin last night and I must admit I felt marginally "dehydrated" this morning. A hearty breakfast and a litre of sparkling water soon perked me up.
We are currently cruising through some of the very far outlying Fijian islands that are nearer Tonga than Fiji proper. Some of them are visible from the ship. Tiny green volcanic lumps. Some of them are so flat they are barely visible above the sea, some of them have a single green peak. I wonder if they are inhabited, some must be….
In art we painted a pelican from New Zealand standing in water. Quite pleased with the results. We are definitely getting better. When we get home we'll try and find a local group or maybe go to classes in Canterbury or Folkestone. Luckily Lu will need lots of works of art for her new flat!!!! LOL
Went to the early Headliners show. It was their Abba one which we like a lot. We found ourselves sitting with the parents of one of the singers. After dinner, which we ate "a deux" for once, we went to the second Beatles Experience shows. Like the last one it was absolutely fantastic. I would actually go out of my way to see these guys play again, they were so good. Didn't notice anyone asleep tonight but "Paul" did mention that someone had been last time, so obviously they'd noticed Rip Van Winkle in the front row too LOL.
