3 weeks today and we'll be home! Wow! That went quickly…. And this three weeks will fly by too.
A lovely sunny lazy sea day. We set an alarm so that we woke up in time to get a lounger in the place we like the best. As I have mentioned before there is no shortage of deck space or loungers but we like a particular little corner and clearly so do some other people!!! Anyway, we pitched out in our favourite place and read all morning enjoying the sun. I wore one of my new Walmart cozzies!!! Very fetching if I say so myself and comfortable to wear.
Lunch was nice. Proper dressed crabs as one of the cold choices. I had quite a lot…. I'm sure they can't be fattening can they??? Utterly yummy.
Then art and a painting of Alcatraz Island and the prison buildings Really pleased with mine today and it's joined the art gallery now covering our cabin walls.
Lots to do tonight. We went to see the Headliners troop perform the Queen show for the last time on this cruise. We've seen it every sector and it's still just soooo enjoyable. Then dinner and then the theatre show. It was a double bill split between a virtuoso clarinet player and then the 4 Tunes who sang last night. Both acts were absolutely first class, really fantastic. I haven't seen a "star" clarinet player since Acker Bilk and this chap was brilliant. I can visualise myself watching the black and white tv in my parents' home when I was about 5 and "Stranger on the Shore" playing as the theme tune to a show.
Anyway, a good night and Cabo San Lucas to look forward to tomorrow. We were here about 10 years ago with the girls at the end of a memorable diving holiday in the Sea of Cortez. At the time we watched with huge amusement as a cruise ship in the bay tried for 3 hours to land its lifeboat tenders back at the ship to return passengers aboard. How they tossed and pitched out there…… it must have been hellish. In the end despite the cruise ship manoeuvring in order to shield the tenders from the windy swell, it all failed and they returned to shore, the ship moved off and the passengers had to be bussed south to a more sheltered harbour. I do hope the karmic circle is not going to turn around and land us in the storm tossed tenders tomorrow….. watch this space….
