Another day at sea heading north east towards San Francisco. Temperature down again to 17C today but very still. Sunny enough to sit out in a t shirt and read which we did for a bit. Actually we were terribly late up! Didn't actually wake up till 0930. Just amazing……
Bob went off to a lecture on the life of Turing and I went up to the Crow's Nest to read. Sat there till 12 when we had lunch. My reading was interrupted by an Australian woman who came and sat next to me and then spent the next hour talking non stop about her entire life history, her children's history, their trips to Europe and how they packed….. Literally non stop. My eyes started to cross as I prayed for deliverance.
After lunch we had art and finished off our wine waiter pictures. Bob's is really good. Mine is really ok, I think I'd have been delighted with it two months ago, but….. I just don't like it that much. I cheered myself up by staying on and painting the tree frog again. This time a bright red one with yellow eyes.
Read our books out on the rear deck and watched the wake stretching off behind us towards the horizon. A man we have spoken to a few times came over for a chat. He told us about a secret little balcony area right at the bow on Decks 10 and 11, right below the bridge. Accessed through unmarked doors at the end of the forward corridors. Perfect for viewing the passage through Panama later in the trip and getting a good forward photo. He swore us to secrecy as hardly anyone knows about it so it never gets crowded.
Nice table at dinner as we found ourselves with a couple we go to art with. Tomorrow is the exhibition for this sector so we've also sorted out which of our masterpieces to display! The late show tonight was a comedian/pianist. Not a favourite of mine. Although there was one memorable moment when he did a headstand, back to the piano with his legs on top and still played the entire song!! Don't try this at home folks LOL.
