The weather is getting steadily more sultry as we approach Tahiti where we will dock at 9am tomorrow morning. We are going to be on a dock in Papeete so should be able to get ashore pretty quickly. We are going diving in the afternoon but have the morning free so going to do a bit of sightseeing and also find an internet café where we can do some heavy duty "on-lining" and also phone both of the girls or better Facetime/Skype with them to see their dear faces. This is one of the longest times we have ever been apart from them. When Lu was at St Andrews and Daisy in Canterbury, sometimes, but not often, it might be a term without seeing them, but we would still talk every day, often more than once a day. On this trip, we are a long way apart and also unable to telephone much. As the distance grows and the time difference with it, even chatting online is very difficult. When we go to Goa, the wifi is omnipresent, free and such a strong signal that we can Skype every day. Not on board…..
So, a day much as any sea day. Sunbathing. Reading. Art. We got the underwater camera and flash out and tested the housing in the swimming pool with a tissue instead of the camera first time. After my flooding disaster in Malta, I wanted to be sure all was well. Hopefully, with the flash along this time I will be able to get some reasonable underwater pictures. They won't be amazing because the camera is pretty old and only 10 megapixels, less than a lot of phones now. Still, hopefully some indicative ones of the underwater scenery if nothing else.
Bob's Kindle locked again this morning at the pool but we brought it down to the cabin, attached it to my laptop and it is working fine again now. Something isn't right and we will probably have to call Amazon from NZ to report the fault as it is still in warranty but won't be by the time we get home.
Tonight's entertainment was to see the Abba show again which was excellent and then after dinner the late night movie, Robocop, which was rubbish.

Fredelinda You can email Amazon - mine broke in Bangkok and they gave me all the instructions by email to reset it completely, logged that that didn't work, and asked me to send it back on return to the UK. Have fun diving. X
