Second weekend here and up early to catch the (thankfully air conditioned) bus to Cebu City. It's about a 3hr ride (cost 135 pesos, about £2.50). The countryside whizzed by as the bus driver negotiated the road quickly. From Cebu North bus terminal a quick taxi journey to the hotel and a check in. A change from what has become the norm - room is on the 21st floor. Most houses in Bogo are only one storey, some are 2, I think I've seen one or two three storeys but that's it.
Stayed at the Manadrin Plaza hotel, right opposite the Ayala centre (think Bullring or West Quay, depending on where you are and at least double the size). There are 5 floors and a terrace with restaurants and cafes. Many UK familiar shops, including Gap, Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, H&M and even M&S (following Mum joking there'd be an M&S).
A relaxing weekend recharging the batteries :-)
Sunday, back to the Ayala centre after a swim and checking out. Bump into doctor palay from cho there small world!!
Time for the bus journey back, and a stop off in capitancillio's for coffee and cake before heading home to host family and the start of week 3.

Carol Good old M&S.... always there when you need them! It sounds like you have a nice balance between work and mini holidays every weekend. Xx
Katie Smith Sounds like you are having a great time. Can't believe you have completed 2 weeks already. Hope you are taking lots of pictures!
