Next stop the USA, and finally a familiar face to greet me at an airport. After a couple of days in LA and a visit to the aquarium of the Pacific, it was on to my final destination, Seattle, and wow is it cold here! No rain but freezing temps and cold wind.

An interesting journey to get here as my original flight was cancelled earlier in the morning due to adverse weather - thanks for letting me know Alaskan Airlines! Arriving at the airport to check in, to find I was re booked on a flight leaving in 20mins - eek, I made it though. That flight took me to Portland, where a 5 hr wait was on the cards for my short flight to Seattle. Thankfully they took pity and managed to get me and my checked luggage on a much earlier flight, seat 1A anyone? (Shame it was only a half hour flight).

The highlight has to be visiting the Chihuly glass museum, some amazing creations, all hand made in glass. The pic is of the flowers in the glass house. It's then you realise you've seen his work hanging in the V&A museum in London too!

It's a weird feeling, torn between can't wait to be coming home to the UK, and sadness that my fabulous adventure is coming to an end, oh well will just have to start planning the next one!
