Hi All Just a quick update - I have taught my first 2 lesson's today in sweltering heat (and its quite mild today) there were about 16 in the class. The first lesson was with 6-7 year old's and lets say they were a little disruptive and at all different teaching levels - some were throwing themselves all over the floor, one lad was hit by a girl and was crying his eyes out. Some were ignoring me and others were drawing pictures with me with love heart's next to me - haha! The next class was 7-8 year olds and I could see the difference there is only 6 in the class and only 4 were in school today - they were very well behaved and understood a lot of my lesson. So two very different experiences - the school is more modern than I anticipated I am just on their PC now and obviously it has internet access. As it is 4.20pm on Fri the entire teacher's have gone home. I am teaching in Haad Rin the main town so I am waiting here for the other girls to arrive and we are going somewhere to eat. I have enjoyed today and have written a list of lessons learnt to adapt next time in the classes. I'll update again - I will ask permission if I can take pictures of the school next week and the children and if I receive permission I will place them on the blog. Got to try and find a sink for a quick wash!Love to you all - Ali x
