Well, I had such a good flight. Flew direct with Qantas, so only 13 hours, BNE to LAX. Meals were still a challenge, but I managed. My seat buddies were Allan and Vicki, lovely married couple from Bayside. We had big chats and were reluctant to say goodbye, but they were heading to Vegas and had to get going.

I got through Customs and Immigration, and there was Scotty waiting for me :) we kitted me up, added my bag to the bike, and took off for Long Beach. The place is great. It's nothing fancy, but it suits us. We wandered down to the beach, lazed around and then strolled back to the B'n'B to shower and check the local area out.

Seeing LA Port, even as a drive by (twice) was interesting. It's massive! And they had a China Shipping ship unloading, wish there had been somewhere we could have stopped to watch.

Heading to bed very soon as I've been awake way too many hours, but it was necessary to try and beat the jet lag. Tomorrow we head to Azusa, and up into the mountains. Probably stay up there a couple of days, so we most likely will be completely offline whilst we are up there.
