Brrrr, looks cold in New Zealand. Bet you'll be glad for some sun in South America! Take care, Alison.

ps - I'm just getting around to making my album of India pics ... did we ever have fun. That photo of Holi gets me laughing every time. I also found one of my rejected ATM receipts. And yes, time has made the stress of the moment fade, so now it's all about the good memories.

Hello Wee Ali Mac! Still following your travels...your photos are good and you're looking well! Looks like the travelling life is agreeing with you! Well its the bank holiday weekend so I'm off today and Monday.
I would thoroughly recommend Connect Fest...I had a great weekend! Highlights of the weekend were Super Furry Animals, LCD Soundsystem, Paul Hartnolls Ideal Collection, Primal Scream and The Bays. It was cool sitting outside Inveraray Castle on the Sunday afternoon listening to Craig Armstrong (the Scottish composer- he did soundtrack for Love Actually) play chilled out electro music. Saw a bit of the Beastie Boys as well and they were really good but then I had to rush off to see the Furries. We wandered round the Rest & Be Thankful spa. Me and Annmarie saw this Wigwam that was zipped up so we had a nosey and there was this guy getting a massage...oops! The Red Bull Enchanted Forrest was another favourite - there were swings and people dressed in Victorian costumes who were dancing about and you could also get nice passion fruit Red Bull cocktails. Had a go playing roulette in the Vegas tent but no luck!! The food was lovely - salmon from LFO, Arran Ice Cream, Crepes and even porridge!! mmmmm You need to go next year!!
Going to see Calvin Harris at the old Fruitmarket with Stewart and Annmarie next Saturday. Also got Underworld and the Super Furry Animals at the Barras coming up soon so can't wait!
Anyway looking forward to reading your next blog instalment and hearing about Chile and the rest of South America. Do you think you'll go up the Andes or visit Machu Pichu when you go to Peru?
Love Laura xxx

Hi Alison, My goodness that was some epistle you've written !!!!!!! You certainly made up for lost time. It's great you are having such a super time. You have packed so much into your trip you will need to stay at Whitehouse for about a month to tell us all about it.Is it you thats driving the camper van? I'm beginning to wonder if you will come back at all, as you seem so struck by Australia !!!!!! Can you tell me when you expect to be in Peru ??? I'm told that is the best time to go October/ November. Not much doing here, weather okay, if dressed appropriately, wellies etc. but thats my normal mode of clothing, but I must add I look very hip wearing my" leopard" look wellies, which Laura bought me. It is the music festival in Tarbert this weekend.
I nearly forgot, I love that picture of you cuddling the koala bear, and by the way your hair has grown so long all this trailing around seems to be agreeing with you. Well enjoy every day and safe driving....... oh I think I'm beginning to sound like Granny !!! Better go,
Love Agnes and Neil too xxxxxxx
