Hi Alison, Great to hear you are getting along fine in India, we have never met such happy, lovely people. What an experience you are having, visiting all these different countries and helping with the children. Tracey, Kerry and I want you to know we are thinking of you and hope you thouroughly enjoy the whole experience. We will enjoy following your travels all the way.

Happy Easter, Alison. As you say, enjoy the moments, as they pass quickly and this time next year you may well be standing in the rain in Shawlands. Seize the day! As regards ipods and such like, forget them and get stuck into the indigenous music if at all possible. Grab taxi drivers tapes and continue to widen your musical avenues. Speaking of music, Clare and I are off to see Christy Moore in the concert Hall on Monday night: full report to follow.I note that you mention tea in passing in your blog. What are you drinking? Darjeeling? Green Tea? Tetley?! We really need to be told.Luv Martin.

Hi Alison, Hope you spent a nice Easter. It was good to get your email, I will be sending another parcel quite soon, hope the children enjoyed the last one. I am sure you will be dying for a lovely warm shower, but I'm sure you will leave India with a lot of good memories. Yes you must have a ride on an elephant, you can't possibly come home without doing so, as they are a bit scarce over here !!!! I cannot get a smiley face on this message I just don't know what I'm doing wrong. Oh ! I have been busy this week showing the houses, so who knows. Weather still superb. Wish we were a bit nearer and I could join you,but of course Neil couldn't live without me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can just imagine him saying Aye that will be right !!!! Anyway Alison enjoy your trips and parties, I'm sure you'll look just fine whatever you wear, just dress as a Nepalise woman, and there you go. Must go now, Lots of love Agnes xxxxxxxxx

Happy Easter Alison!!! Are you sure that you're using the Ipod correctly? Sometimes if it doesn't switch on you have to press the middle button and the Menu button together until the Apple logo appears on the screen. I had to do that last week when my own Ipod wouldn't switch on. If all else fails and you're still missing music you'll just have to sing...or else get your mum to send your bagpipe chanter out to you!! When do you go to Singapore?? Looking forward to hearing what it's like there. I'm sure it will be luxurious compared to where you are just now. I bet you're counting down the days til you get hot water!! Love Lauraxxx

Poor Alison with cold water. If it helps, I think of you every time I eat raw veggies and ice cream! Don't worry, not too long until Singapore. If it's anything like Thailand, you'll feel you've died and gone to heaven. You should have seen me after I flew from Delhi to Bangkok and was immediately faced with a splendiforous buffet of pineapple! Mango! Papaya! I actually laughed out loud as I stood there in my filthy India-dust, Holi-stained, Ganges water-smelling clothing. I felt a bit out of place with all the perfectly groomed Korean tourists though :) After brekkie I went to my WONDERFUL bathroom with not only toilet paper but Kleenex! Shampoo! LOTION! Oh and cleeeeeeen sheets that SMELL clean. And I saw actual city workers sweeping the streets. Ahhhhh. So there, you have something to look forward to. In the meantime, get as dirty as possible because it might be your only chance to save the world :)
