After stopping at a roadside cafe for breakfast and chatting to lots of Japenese tourists who were amazed by mine and lauras ali baba trousers ( not sure how they hadnt seen them before!), the driver stopped the car and told us we were going to visit the Kite temple. we were just about to take our shoes off, when he said the kite temple is the rat temple, and as it was too late to turn around we had to go in!
I dont remember much of what the temple looked like, except for a staircase where you could walk downstairs to see a statue of one of the Gods. All i can remember is rats running everywhere, and Laura who decided to leave, walking down the tunnel to the entrance ducking every few seconds when birds flew over her head, whilst i was stuck in the middle of the temple as the rats wern't there laughing at her trying to leave.
After checking into the hotel we went to Lajgher palace. Its also a hotel but was very beautiful apart from the hundreds of dead animals on the walls. Outside a wedding was being set up so we tried to have a nosey but couldn't see much.
We also thought we would be painting a school in the afternoon (i think when we talk to the driver were all having conversations about different things and just agreeing with each other), but turns out we were going to see a minature drawing artist who holds the record for the worlds smallest drawing. I bought a christmas present from him which he left a special message in...without using a magnifying glass, but you cant read what it says without looking in one!
