Almost my last post from New Zealand now. Took a day trip today to visit Milford Sound (which isn't actually a sound for anyone who knows their geography because its carved by glaciers not rivers and is actually a fiord,never mind eh) Had to get up at the crack of dawn for the trip and on the bus for 6.40am. The journey was sooooo long and none of the roads were straight so it took about 5 hours each way. When we got there we boarded a cruise around the Sound. The scenery is spectactular and definately worth the visit. saw all sorts of geographical features and on our way back dolphins swan right next to the boat which really made my day. Later we went to the underwater observatory, not an aquarium but an observatory so you never know what could swim past next. We saw lots of cool things but unfortunately no sharks, boo. The ride back was ok thanks to my ipod and a few films but the whole day has completely drained me of energy si its a large bowl of pasta and bed for me. Tommorow my last stop- Christchurch!!!
