Hiya guys,
Another little update from across the globe. In Namibia now and its so different from the other places we have been. Theres other white people here and the africans actually live in normal house's (whats all that about!)
Our first night here we all treated ourselves and went out for a meal in the most poshest restaurant in town. I thought Bibis was nice in leeds but this place was just gorgeous. The next day we had a long drive to the best camp site so far. It was like a 5* campsite! The pool and bar was lovely but the best thing about it was that it was right next to a watering hole so that night we stayed up and watched all the giraffes, zebra and lions come down to drink. We were just about to go to bed and to our amazement 4 black rhino's and a baby came! (this was the first time we'd seen any rhinos!) Two of them started fighting too which was just brillient to watch.
We had another night there then had yesterday had a drive into the middle of the namibia desert. We arrived there at about 3ish and went to climb these huge rocks (they were similar to aires rock in oz!) Quite scary when we got to the top but even scarier climbing back down. I nearly cried and stephen had to climb back up to guide me down as im scared of heights! Me little hero bless him!
After that me and this lad called di decided to go for a run (as ive not done one bit of exercise since i left home!) Well what a stupid idea.... he made me run for miles, i got back and nearly passed out, last time ill be going for a jog in an african desert i tell thi!
We couldnt be bothered putting up our tents either so all kipped out on another big rock in our sleeping bags and star gazed all night. (probably my favourite night so far) It was so nice just laid there, we saw 9 shooting stars but then stephen ruined the moment by farting really loud... TIT!
Today weve been to visit the seal colony. (The biggest in the world!) There were thousands of seals and baby ones there. We even witnessed one being born right infront of us! The only down side to this place was it absolutley stunk! I was litterally gipping and can still smell it on my clothes now... its gross! Off to get a shower in abit and then off out for a meal in this funky little town that were stopping at for a few nights (in dorms too!) Then tomoz its quad biking in the desert! yippeeeeeeee!
So ill be in touch in a few days if i manage not to kill myself on them! Big hugs from Africa
Love Al
PS Mum hope you've had a lovely time in Belgium (any soldiers on board this time!!???) Love ya xxxxxxxxxx
