Lake Balaton is lovely!
It is very quiet and serene where we are staying and reminds me of Lake Garda; I'm sure if we went further around the lake we would find more tourists and bustling places but it suits us just fine here, a good chilling out place to stay and relax.
We are spending our time sunbathing and going for short walks around the local village and parks.
We found why looks like another traditional market area at the other end of the village near all the campsites and marinas so we will amble along there tonight.
We had lunch in a tiny little cafe which was great, 2 drinks and a Lagos (traditional type of pastry) cost less than £3; we laughed as we decided that from now on we probably won't get even 1 drink for that amount once we get back into the euro zones of Austria, Germany and Belgium!
My flip flop sandals are now just flop sandals and I going to try and replace them whilst here!
I have sat myself down by the lake to try and get a photo of a sailing boat passing by our private beach for my blog photo!
The waiter is a young lad who speaks excellent English and during the quiet periods comes and talks with Colin; finding out lots of information about England and the crazy motorcyclist.
We're thinking of suggesting he comes to the chalet for winter season but I get the impression he likes to be warm as he goes to Cyprus to work and holiday when he can!
