We arrived yesterday after what turned into a mammoth ride of 9 hours!
We managed to find our way using the old fashioned map reading skills and only stumbled when arriving in Lubeck and trying to locate the hotel! We got as close as we could to the centre and then used the iPhone to direct us the last lap- still needed modern technology!
Our hotel is In what looks like converted medieval shops with very worn and creaky stones and wooden steps but at least the room stayed still!
We had a short time exploring the old town but it was quite cold and Colin needed feeding! We found our way to the oldest seamanship guild in town where we shared our meal on long tressel tables; the food was excellent and the atmosphere very lively. Neither of us had our phones to take photos as they were both charging back at the hotel :-(
We are hoping that that weather is equally as good to us today, as we ride through Denmark, to catch the ferry over to Norway. Yesterday, we had a couple of heavy showers, but managed to avoid the worst whilst stopping for breakfast.
Both of us are feeling muscles not usually used and creaking ourselves this morning!
Off for breakfast then on the road again.
