Langkawi
The heat in Malaysia was almost unbearable and Langkawi wasn't any different. We couldn't wait to put our bags down and go straight to the beach. The beach we stayed in was one of the best so far. It was another peaceful big white sand beach. We spend first two days sunbathing and watching the beautiful sunsets, then we hired a bike and explored the whole island.
We went to the main town of Langkawi, called Kuah. Kuah had nothing else much apart from the very amazing Ramadan bazaar, there where hundreds of curry dishes and many different Asian desserts, drink etc (Al's idea of heaven).
We went to the Langkawi cable car but unfortunatly it was closed for one month which sucked. Not worrying too much we headed to the north coast but first found a waterfall. After a much needed refreshing swim we followed the coastal road and found Al's fav beach so far. We hired a Kayak and sailed around a rock formation, into a lake and found a tiny deserted beach. That evening we drove to the bridge at the island symbol, a giant eagle for another beautiful sunset. We flew back to KL next morning.
