I think my blog is going ok now - had to purchase more I-cloud storage. Anyway we headed off after breakfast towards Bielsa then turned left up a skinny road towards the Valle de Pineta where we could see really big mountains including the biggest in the Pyrenees called Mt. Perdidou at 3355 metres high. They still have snow and unmelted ice on the peaks. Once there we decide to do a walk called the Valle de La Lorri a relatively easy walk through some cascades etc. after some time going up and up and still up We came to the I conclusion we had taken a wrong turn and were actually doing one of the difficult walks. So down we went and about a kilometre from the car the heavens opened and thunder and lightening let fly, big black clouds rolled in and it was pouring rain and hail. No use sheltering under trees, so had to make a dash for the car in our shorts and t-shirts and got literally drenched. So we headed for Ainsa where we changed and had some lunch. There it was dry and still 30 degrees. We then decided to go to Escalona and up to the Canon de Aniscio and the Valle do Vio. It was another treacherous road but thankfully one way. It was very beautiful scenery with waterfalls, steep chasms, and one picture postcard scene after another. When we reached the little village of Vio we drove in to all stone buildings and Gerry talked to a man who informed us we could get a coffee at a nearby restaurant. It was a Yoga centre and we had a nice coffee and a date there. By this time it was raining again, so Gerry ran to get the car to pick me up. The rain got heavier then the lightning and thunder started again. So we had to drive down the mountain 1500 metres in torrential rain on not more than a sealed goat track. It was very hairy and Gerry had to concentrate very hard - no room for error. Back to Ainsa where it was back to 28 and dry.

Lou Sounds scarey!
Sheryl Fortunately you're in Gerry's capable driving hands. Sounds exciting, and worth it for the beautifully scenery.
HitchHikers Handbook Hi Alecia, We have been checking out your blog and we must say that we are very impressed. It's really great. We have particularly been following your posts about Ainsa as we visited there too. We have even written a guide, which you can check out here: http://hitchhikershandbook.com/country-guides/spain-2/ainsa/. We would love your feedback on it and any tips, information, advice that you might have would be warmly appreciated. Keep up the good work! Ania & Jon
