We left Glendambo a bit late this morning (9am) It was freezing cold last night and I had to get up at 4 am and turn the heater on. We headed in to Coober Pedy around midday and bought some supplies and headed out the road to have lunch. It was warm in the sun so had to change tops and discard jumpers but I'm sure we'll be looking for them again tonight. We arrived at Cadney Homestead around 3 and set up with time for a read. At the back of the homestead was their air strip so I used that as my walking track. After our walk we had a drink and then headed over to the restaurant for dinner. We met a guy over there from Camperdown travelling on his own. Trevor Haugh was his name and he was 82. He had 2 wives who both died and now his third was in a nursing home. But he hates the cold so still heads off every winter in his old Millard van to somewhere warm his 2 sons aren't very happy about the situation but he likes to do his own thing. We tried to watch a movie after dinner as there was no tv but neither of us could keep our eyes open so went to bed around 10. I wore my thermals to bed tonight to keep warm.
