After breakfast this morning we headed out to the market square and found a hairdresser for Gerry and he had a very short style followed by a wash, polish and dry. We then walked to the end of the street to the Post Office where I sent off a box to Flis of things we had purchased and did not want to cart round with us now we won't have a car after tomorrow. We then did some clothes shopping for Gerry and bought some shorts and a polo shirt. Then after a quick stop at our B & B we collected the car from the car park and drove down to the beach to a town called Knokke-Heist. The sea here is grey, so the water doesn't look that inviting, however the were thousands of people there enjoying the sunshine and warm weather. The beach unlike ours was covered in bathing boxes, sun lounges, umbrellas and all sorts of lounges etc that you can hire. Each area had a name like Munroe Beach Club etc with pictures of Marilyn posted up. All quite different but many many people there. We had our lunch here couple of salads and down at the beach we had an ice cream. Found another menswear shop and Gerry purchased another shirt and is now looking very European I must say. We drove on a bit further towards the French border along the coast road to Da Haan and then back to Brugges. We will go and have a drink with Sven before we head out for dinner - same restaurant as last night.
We went up to Sven's place for a drink and took chocolate oranges for his lovely hospitality. then we bid him farewell! We have returned now from yet another lovely dinner. Gerry had Coq au Vin and I had chicken pie. Walked home in quite a cool evening. Packing to head off to Amsterdam in the morning.
