Day 6 Masai Mara Today was a day of game drives. Absolutely stunning morning. A little fun in having the truck get stuck in the mud with vultures circling us. A good hour to get out, not the worst view in the world. Saw hyenas, vultures on a kill and the cutest baby elephant with her mother. Day 5 - Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara Packing up the tent in pouring rain wasn't the greatest experiences we've had in a while. Long drive today with a 90km stint on an absolute dirt road shocker. The truck broke down next to a small Masai village. It's true that when you stop in Africa kids come running from everywhere! Day 4 - Lake Naivasha Apologises for the delay in the blog. As you can probably tell internet has been a scare resource. However we have been keeping a text blog each day which we will continue to post. A bit of a different day today, we cycled through Hell's Gate National Park which is the area where Joy Adamsons' lion, Elsa was released. Day 3 - Nakuru to Lake Naivasha A cooked breakfast and a spit of goat for dinner has changed our thinking that we're going to return home skinny. Early start this morning (4am) only to be picked up by a Kenyan taxi minibus with a guide called David. We were slightly alarmed when he lifted the roof and realised this was our safari vehicle for the day. Although 4wd was written on the side of the van, we were quickly informed when we became stuck in the overflowing Lake Nakura that this had been disabled and that we shouldn't worry about the water spraying in through floor of the drivers cab?!?!
