We took the ferry across the Cook Straight from the South Island to the North Island. After we picked up our rental car I loaded the address of Weta Caves into the GPS and off we went. Short visit and tour kind of behind the scenes of their prop and makeup departments. Then off to New Plymouth on the west side of the North Island we drove.
