After an unexpectedly long drive from Challis We arrived at Macks Inn late Monday night after a drive that should have taken 30 mins at least that was according to our GPS but took over 3 hours we made it. We got up Tuseday morning and drove to West Yellowstone in Montana this is the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park.

After a very long drive from The Dalles Oregon through Ontario Oregon and the Salmon-Challis National Forest we made it to Challis. We chose Challis becasuse it was the only place or so we thought that had oom available in the zone of totality. This would allow us not to drive anywhere the morning of the eclipsae if we chose to do so. Today we drove from Centralia WA to The Dalles OR. We started our day shopping at the Centralia Factory Outlet Mall and had lots of fun "saving" money. As you can see from the picture we passed up on the Kitchenaide mixer only because we have no room for it. After shopping we grabbed lunch at a local restaurant then hit the road.

We stopped on our travels to check out these falls. Wow were they nice to see. The falls are called the Multnomah Falls and can been see from I 84 and worth the stop. There is lots of parking with a info centre/gift shop/ restaurant and public washrooms. Side note this was a location for the film version of The Shack

After a long slow drive through Seattle we made it to Centralia for the evening. Our wait at the Peace Arch border crossing was not too bad, it only took about 40 mins. Which was good considering we missed our ferry from Vancouver Island because of a accident on the road to the ferry terminal. Enough for now its bed time for tomorrow we shop at the Centralia Factory Outlet shops.
