The great ocean road...
Flew into Melbourne had a pretty terrible flight with some sort of whale next to mart so neither of us slept. Was sad saying goodbye to Perth another wonderful place! Spesh that house we had really made ourselves at home.
Collected the car. Green called it Kermit. And started the drive..
Got down to Torquay little surfing village. And had a nap on the beach!
Went down to bells beach- home of the surf. Hosts the rip curl competition every year, big waves! Hundreds of Chinese people.
We then drove through anglesea ..we stopped at the eastern point where it has the great ocean road sign above the road for a photo and a statue dedicated to all the people that built it by hand..we then made it to Lorne.
Lorne's a pretty little town onthe coast- it was here we got given a map of free campsites along the GOR made me happy we didn't have to sleep illegally for once. It was quite windy and the sea had huge waves but really nice to watch, after a walk around the town we found a bar right on the seafront to watch all the crazy surfers and have a couple of drinks.
The campsite for the night (big hill) was 10 km inland so we set off and found a spot for the night nice and early as it soon filled up!
Watched a film on the laptop (it ran out of battery 15 mins before the end) ate our crisp sandwiches and slept.
It was freeeezing so every few hours we woke to put the heating on for 20 minutes.
