Crossed the ferry into the south how cold! Stopped in kaiteriteri for a night...then Westport where me and mart got away with one bed...carried on through to punakaiki to see the amazing west coast pancake rocks and blow holes. We then spent a night in lake mahinapua absolutely beautiful they've had fresh snowfall so the mountains are all snow capped but then u look the other way and the sea and beach is there. We actually paid extra for a meal at the hostel big massive far steak dinner felt so good to eat properly. On to Franz josef tomorrow I'm absolutely buzzing that we jump out of a plane at 2:30!!!!
