last day in queenstown we took a trip to cardrona to try snowboarding for a day.

Began our lesson on the little baby slope...basics being taught about the edges of the board..heels and toes..i liked the baby slope and seemed to get it. We stopped for lunch and me and mart went back out to practice.. it was like food made me really bad...my main issue was i couldnt get off the floor without help. so when i fell half way down (as i always did) i couldnt get back up.
when the next lesson started she took us to a proper slope (still a beginners one though) called the magic carpet.. i seem to have issue with the really basic things, like getting off the floor once im clipped in...or going up the travellator without the wind blowing me off. Mart seemed to be picking it up really well...he tried to be nice and wait around for me...but he enjoyed laughing at me once he reached the bottom more.
He told me later on that once someone helped me up i seemed to forget everything she said..put my legs straight go really fast spin round in circles and flip onto the floor...however i realised if i did a teddy bear roll onto my knees i could get up off the floor...however then i was backwards and would just go down the hill really fast which made me fall over some more.

i might add that i did see mart fall over a fair few times as well though...he got too cocky! i seemed to be more comfortable if i knew the teacher was around and managed a few runs with her close by without nearly breaking my face. both of us however feel like we have broken our actual ass bones. Good last day!!

We made the journey from queenstown to christchurch today...it was so long!! however we did stop off at lake tekapo which was stunning...glazier lakes which made them bright blue..more photos of that soon. That was clearly the highlight of the day though because Christchurch is rubbish. We met some of the others that were on our bus before and they told us how boring it is here.

VERY early start to kaikora tomorrow for the night..then the naked bus back down to christchurch..think we've figured out a way to stay in the airport without them throwing us out (i have screen shoted a pretend flight - your only allowed to sleep there if your flight is before 8am). and we have just purchased tickets to watch the all blacks vs south africa which should be lots of fun! get the see the haka live...good job my camera has a good zoom!!
