The story so far...
Ok so we woke up much more refreshed and alot warmer than the morning before, had our Cherios for breakfast and got back on the road towards Needles on the way to Grand Canyon.
Quite alot of driving today so not much to say... we stopped to refuel which took a while as we didn't realise they wouldn't start the pump until we had paid for the fuel we hadn't received yet!!! I get the idea of it however as we hadn't ever refueled before it was quite hard for us to gauge how much fuel we wanted to buy, thankfully they refund you whatever you don't use so 30 gallons later we were ready to hit the road again! That was after we had visited the Dairy Queen on site and purchased a Peanut Buster Parfait to share! Very nice mum, thanks for the recommendation :o)
Oh yea, Mark also attracted some strange mexican dude while I was in Dairy Queen who informed him (after waving at him frantically to no avail from Mark!) that "Us RV folk have to stick together man. You gotta wave at other RrrrrVvvvv's" So after waving the weird man goodbye we set off again towards Needles.
We ended up staying the night at the Rainbow Beach Resort right on the banks of the Colorado River which was amazing. We had our RV parked on a river view hook-up so we watched the world (and river rapids!) from our bedside window and had another great sleep minus the coats! Ooh also cooked Fajitas for dinner but we weren't very impressed with the local spice mix so I'd stick to Old El Paso Mick if i were you!!
Tomorrow heading for Seligman and Route 66....Mark is very excited about this!
Love to all xxxxxx
3 nights down, 24 to go
