Hey yall!

Well here we are in the U S of A and thankfully Mark made it through customs even with his criminal record! We really don't see what everyone makes a fuss about as the immigration people we're really friendly (well mine was anyway!) and we were through within no time. The journey to the hostel though was not so simple...3 buses and nearly 4 hours later we finally crawled through the door with a few blisters on my feet! As usual we managed to attract a few strange people on the way including what seemed to be a homeless woman who thought our minimum wage was less than $1.60?!?!
Anyway...the hostel seems fine enough although I think we are both happy we aren't here much longer. Mark can't wait to get behind the wheel of the camper and start tackling the highways!!

So after catching up on our sleep we headed up to Hollywood today to see the sights. After having a bad experience on the buses we decided to walk up to Sunset Blvrd which is where we had our first taste of an american McDonalds!! We carried on up to Hollywood Blvrd and walked all the way down to where the Walk of Fame stars began... Marks just remembered that I havent mentioned the fact that we bought and ate our first Twinkies aswel! a very important fact i failed to mention!! So back to the stars....our first major star we found was........wait for it....Judge Judy Sheindlin!!! Oh yes mum Judge Judy!! I got a picture for you (no output to upload them here so will do this later) anywho..the stars go on and on so as we neared the Graumans Chinese Theatre we decided to reserve a space on one of the many Stars Tours. We have loads of pictures that we took on the tour however neither of us can really remember who lived where so we will have to try and figure this out before we upload the pics!! Had a good look around the chinese theatre and found the Kodak theatre aswel...quite busy and touristy with alot of people dressed up as various stars wanting money for you to have your photo taken with them.

Hi, just wanted to let you all know about the cupcake place over the road (and the shops in general). The clothes shop look more like clubs for one thing but more importantly, our window overlooks a store called Jonny Cupcakes, which obviously i got very excited about thinking i would be shortly sampling a genuine American cupcake. Anyway, when we got back this evening it was open so i bounded in only to find the 'Fridge' filled with T-Shirts and Jeans!! Turns out the whole store is actually just a designer clothes shop with a stupid gimmic! Gutted!! However on the plus side the Twinkies are not half bad (and yes i did take a picture).

Picking up the RV tomorrow and generally we have no idea where we're going so we will update you on our next location in the next entry...
