Hi all, we are still in Barcaldine. Adam is still working in the tyre centre full time whereas I only do 16 hours a week in the shop. Bless him I think its hard going in the heat, in bed at about 9.30pm on a work night.

Trying to keep ourselves amused in our free time. We were taken fishing last Saturday, about 160kms away, 5 hours fishing and not a thing!! We did the touristy thing on Sunday and when to the local museum and Roses coffee shop for an iced coffee, they are gorgeous lots of ice-cream and flake on top, yum.

This is our last week in Barcaldine, we leave next Tuesday but are looking forward to a big weekend as there is a opening of the tree of knowledge (well-known tourist attraction in the town, to do with sheep shearers strike!) Someone famous is supposed to be opening it, the Prime Minister has been mentioned but we will see), followed by horse racing. Drag racing, park concert nad rugby league on the Sunday and goat racing and parade on the Monday, so that should be a good send off.

We will only have 2 weeks left in Oz when we leave here, making our way up to Cairns following the heat and its starting to come into winter here soon.
