Oh my god it's hot in Rome. It's so hot that we don't really want to do anything. It'll be fun to try this again in August. ;)
Amanda is in the Vatican right now. I didn't want to spend 45€ for a tour so I opted for an internet cafe instead. I feel like I spend a lot of my time in or looking for internet cafes...but I guess it's a necessity for booking upcoming travel. I just spent the last two hours trying to figure out how we were going to get from Venice to Interlaken (Switzerland) and then from Interlaken to London. I'm also trying to figure out what I will do for the ten days that I will be on my own between when Amanda leaves and Mo arrives..... which is coming up very, very soon (June 26).
I am going to go to Mullion in Cornwall, England from June 30-July 6, where my grandparents used to live. I haven't been back in 7 years... which is so hard to believe. I am lucky enough to be able to stay with my grandmother's friends there. And I was planning to go to Prague or something for the few days before that, but I just don't think I can afford it...and it doesn't really make sense to fly all the way back. So I think my new plan will be to go to Keswick! Hahaha. Oh Keswick. (That'll only be funny for the Ontarians.) It's in the Lake District in the north of England and I've never been there, so why not?
We've actually been socialising at this hostel. Since it's so damn hot, we've gone back to the hostel pretty early in the evenings, beer in hand, and hung out with the people there. Lots of Australians and Americans. It's been fun. Unfortunately on the first night my beer burst everywhere. All I did was set it down and it completely busted open. I keep breaking and losing things. My sunglasses broke yesterday. I just bought a new pair with rhinestones in them! I'm so fashionable. :)
Tomorrow we're off to Venice. I can't wait. Now I think I'll go find Amanda and get some pistachio gelato. Mmmm.
