Had a packed day today!
This morning we went to the Ballasta Islands...lots of birds and lots of bird crap! Went on a speed boat out to them and saw dolphins, sea lions, pelicans and loads and loads of birds. The Island is white from droppings which they collect once every five years and sell as fertilizer. ( I just checked how that is spelt on google as it looked odd and just realised that it may seem suspect typing that in!)
After the islands we headed to a vine yard where they make the local wine and spirt call pisca. It is like strong vodka (over 40%) and he was giving us free shots which we had about 5 of, before lunch! After that we headed to Huacachina where we went sandboarding. Probably one of the best things I have ever done. We went on the cool dune buggys and went up some massive sandunes and they throw you about. Then you go down on a sand board. It was so funny was amazing. I really wanted to drive it, but porbably would have rolled it if I did!
The sun has been really hot today. We then went on to Nazca where I am now. Hotel has a pool and table tennis which is cool.
Doing a flght over the Nazca lines tomorrow which will be good.
As soon as we arrived about an hour ago, there was a small earthquake tremor which was odd, but happens all the time here after the earthquake in 2007. There is a fault just off the shore.
Oh we have a new saying now...Peach to the Juice. It was on the menu and made me laugh as I said it in a gangster style voice...got to love the translations here...probably one of those things where you had to be there....
Hope your all good!
