Today we are in Arequipa. Yesterday we did the flight over the Nazca lines and the cemetary tour.

We got to the airport for the flight where I found out that the group was being split up onto different aircrafts.....I ended up on my own! She called by plane ´The Spider´apparently because of poison. Luckily every coud has a silver lining and I got some really good pics. Not been in a light aircraft like that before. Felt a bit sick by then and as the he would purposfully tip the plane so you could see from both sides. As there was only me and one other guy in the craft this was wholly unnecessary and we both started feeling sick. All good though!

We then went on to the cemetary which was in the desert where we saw some mummies preserved by the arid conditions. Interesting/gross/hot. Oh and at the end there was a man who had a tortoise for a pet that just trundled along by him...slowly. Luckily he was not in much hurry in the desert in the middle of no where.

Last night was spend on the night bus. I was shocked at how nice the bus was. HAving told everyone that there is no way I will sleep and I will be grumpy I slept instantly and didn´t wake up until morning. This is a good thing you might think, but no! I missed by sodding breakfast so had no coffee which gave me a headache and heard of this alleged cake that they had.

We have just been into the centre of Arequipa today but we are all just resting on the sun terrace of the hotel as it is hot today and we want to rest as we have a 5 hour drive to Colca Canyon tomorrow where there will be thermal srpings which we are looking forward too. Anyway, i´m off for some more sun!
