Charter fishing boat today on the 'Kerry D.' There were a few school mackerel taken by other guys on the boat but not a one by any of the Dettricks ); That's supposed to be a frowny face with a tear. This is where you say something pos like, "Well, at least we had the experience of fishing in the Gulf of Carpentaria!" But really, we paid $390, got up early when it was cold, and then were bored for 5 hours for no return. The kids seem pretty keen on fishing though, so we'll try again. Jasper wanted to go riding to find a place to fish on the first day but we talked him out of it on account of crocs and lack of knowledge about tackle and bait.

We have eaten the local fish a couple times now and it's pretty good and well priced. Really appreciated having A/C in the van for the first time. Relaxing with a family video this afternoon.
