We are now in Sydney having spent 4 days out at Ayres Rock in the sauna. God it was sooo hot 100 everyday. We did a sunrise tour of the rock which was great but had to get up for 4am! We have been in Cairns for 5 days now and its just nice not to be running about everyday sightseeing. We have spent two days just shopping and wandering about the city. The hostel is mega loud at night but we are managing to get some sleep! Yesterday was the most amazing day so far this trip. Last day in Kyoto today just about to head to the train station to catch the Shinkansen(bullet train) to Hiroshima. Yesterday we visited a costume museum and the textile centre. Sun 14th Sep Up early and headed for Hakone. Our first experience of the Shinkansen or Bullet Train. Its fast oh yes its fast. After that train we took the bus to our Ryokan which is a traditional Japanese Inn with tamarin mats and futons to sleep on. We dumped our bags as we were too early for check in.
