Just a quick blog to explain the photos.

We went to the Forbidden city today and Tiananmen sqaure which is basically the history of China in Palaces and Mueseaums within the city, most of them were accesible now but they have been off limits for last 500 years! It was amazing looking at their history with a mixture of the Qing and Ming Dynasty, with most artifacts relating to the emperor Puyi, he was made emperor at the age of 3, and was the last emperor within the forbidden city.

It was the single biggest collection of ancient artifacts anywhere in China, not a bad way for us to start huh?!!!!!!!!!!! The Forbidden city covers 1,000,000 square meters and the building alone are 170,000, so that was alot of walking, plus we walked there and back from the hostel! (our poor feet)

Tiananmen square was huge and it is the main hang out place in China and holds the most famous painting of the great Chairman, Mao. The chinese seem to love him, but Adam isn't too sure!

Overall we are having the best time, and have started to settle in here, we have found a supermarket, i have been told i (sam) was beautiful by a really nice Chinese lady and a young girl of about 3 said hello to us in English which was really suprising and really cute! Going to the great wall Tuesday so you will have lots more photos to look at soon after that! Takes a while for them to upload tho so don't expect them too soon! lol!
