Hello everyone,
We arrived in kuala lumpur late afternoon after a bus journey and ride on the metro and we had a guesthouse in mind, it was called monkey inn it was a little bit higher in price but it included free breakfast and free internet and a cool lounge where you could watch dvds etc! I think it cost 10 pound a night for both.
First night we just headed out to see all the fake knock offs and honestly it was amazing i have never seen as much fake gear as that.... unbelievable you could get anything!! It made khao san road inBangkok look like the galleries haha There was endless amounts of handbags, boxer shorts, watches, t-shirts, jeans, dvds, software, shoes, trainers and sunglasses. I could of spent an absolute fortune there! ...but we didn't!
The next day Louise wanted to purchase a laptop netbook to use for travelling so we heard a particular mall called low yat plaza was the place to go. When we got there it was just 7 floors of electrical shops again selling anything! So we spent quite a lot of time trying to get the best deal and avoiding the fakes! We didn't come away with one but we narrowed it down to a couple lol There a quite a lot of malls around KL and we ended up spending a lot of our time in them due to a heavy rain storm! It means we got to see all the Christmas decorations again..... It seems that were never out of malls!
When the rain stopped it was starting to get dark so we headed to view the Petronas towers which KL is famous for its the two towers that are linked with a bridge in between... im sure you know the one! Its quite hard to find even though they are huge because theres a lot of high-rise buildings around! But once you get there and you are stood at the base they are pretty spectacular they actually make you feel dizzy when you looked up at them. They are lit up at night as well, you can buy tickets to go up the tower but there quite expensive and you have to get up mega early so we gave it a miss lol
The next day we headed to the post office to send some stuff back home, i had my suit still which i had gotten made in Vietnam and we were still carrying our stupid Vietnam conical hats around with us lol we also sent home loads of memorabilia stuff which was quite heavy and my shuttle c*** i bought in Vietnam. It was quite a big box but it only cost 10 pound to send back! Should get there in 3 months so maybe February (Steph).
The last day we got our stuff all sorted and headed out to get Louise's laptop and i got hooked in by all the fakes so i took out90 pound to spend but time was running out because we needed to be at the airport to get our flight to Singapore. It must of been the fastest haggling i had ever done they didn't know what hit them we got two watches, two hats, swim shorts and two t-shirts and we ran out of time!! Still had half my money left! Oh well, Singapore here we come!!!
Love adam and louise xx
