The guide book described COlonia as a cute city...I disagree. It´s a cold, cold cold city! Am so not used to having towear a jumper in the day-poor me! Montevideo-the capital city of Urugauy. A nice enough place, if all you like to do is walk. We-re basically stopping off here for a bit of a rest before heading off to bigger and better palces, namely Argentina-and Beunos Ares. Lot´s of museums, churches, the usual. Very cheap all round kind of place.....next!

After crossing the border from Argentina, we head into Uruguay. We finally got through the proetst on the border after a couple of hours wait...time to head off to the hostel down the road for beer though whch was nice! Urugauy is a very laid back country...and cold too! Visited Salto in the very north, a place known only for the thermal baths and spa´s it has. Had a very relaxing massage, which helped my back after all those night buses...surprisi...
