Here I am in Santiago again...fliights were good, no disruptions and arrived at my hostel, La Casa Roja, at around 7am yesterday. So happy...for many reasons. One) I'm leaving South America to go and explore new places! Two) I got my camera fixed today and Three) I found a TopShop in the mall today/how strange is that? Will be meeting up with our last tour guide, as he is Santiago for a few days...unfortunately cannot go to the all you cand drink martini night ...

The journey here was the worst bus trip in a long time. 17 hours felt like a life time...think we´ve been spoilt in Brazil and Argentina with our semi-cama buses...now we´re lucky if the seats go back at all...and don´t even get me started on the toilets! Anyway, San Pedro is famous for the Valley of the Moon and guysers...as I didn´t want t get up at 4am to see the hot springs...only doing the Valley tonight-which should be good. We´re ...

La Serena...famous for being the home of Pisco. We went on a factory tour yesterday and got to try 80 percent...never again=like drinking fire water. Another pretty town, with lots of churches, not much else. Its getting very cold now=doensçt help that I have a cold. Lots of nobel prize winners come from Chile=anyone else know this...

Santiago...another big, noisy city, but it has it´s good points. Did a city tour today. They also have a big statue on a hill-very much like Rio, but this if of the Virgin. We did a cable car ride to it, good view of the City and also the mountains that separate Chile from Argentina. Groove Armada concert was fantastic..unfortunately went on until 4am, so not evry happy about a 7hr bus trip leaving at 7am the next day...oh well. I come back here for 3=4 da...

Pucon...it´s getting warmer at least. Pucon is famous for the volcano that is surrounds...active volcano! They have these traffic lights on the street to tell you the status-if it ever gets to red then we´re in trouble! Pucon is much the same as Puerto Varas, very German, wood cabins, cold!
