Pretty good day. Ellie, Dawn and I went to the British Library. It was really cool. I saw copies of the Magna Carta, a Gutenberg Bible, Beowulf, Alice's Adventures Underground, Shakespeare works, Da Vinci's journals, Handel's Messiah and a bunch of lyrics from the Beatles (on envelopes, birthday cards etc.). Long day. Work was pretty good. I spent the entire morning working on a particularly difficult piece making little progress so after lunch I moved onto others and made much greater progress. Cold cold day today. Work was okay. Not terribly exciting but not necessarily boring either. I was just sick of looking at a computer screen so I kept getting distracted.
