After a relaxed start, and tents packed, we were of to town for breakfast/lunch and more importantly, wifi. Wednesday is market day in Bellingham, so the small central park was a mass of colour with handicrafts and fruit and berries. The warm weather has meant the berry season is now in full swing. A huge punnet of blueberries supplemented our breakfast beautifully, as did the donuts from Rocket Donuts. Yumm
Well fortified, it was back to the car for the trip back to Seattle. The car has been producing a constant whistle sound and it was time to get it checked. Aaron is due to start work next week in Calgary, Canada, and has a few last minute visa details to attend to, which are more easily attended to in Seattle.
Regardless of other matters, Happy Hour is sacred, and so a few hours at the inner city Metropolitan Grill, with drinks and a wide selection of tasty morsels was on the agenda and it turned into a very fulfilling meal.
After a great sightseeing tour of Seattle (thanks Aaron!), we parked the car at Dean and Stef's house (the lovely couple who took us sailing) and walked a few blocks for icecream. A lovely was to finish the day!
