G'day everybody! (sorry, it had to be done). Arrived in Oz yesterday and walked straight in to a country gripped by an ashes frenzy. Mixed reviews in the papers for their chances today, especially after strauss, pietersen and freddie scored a few runs in the latest warm up match. Just a quick note to say that we did actually quite like Singapore. After re-reading our last entry it might have come across as if we didnt like the place, but it was actually really good!

Most of our time in Singapore seems to have been spent waiting for little green men to appear; but then with massive fines for every false move you make - including j walking - it has to be done! Cars seem to rule here and the best way to shift around otherwise is on the underground. On our first full day here I went exploring by myself while Campbell caught up on some hard-earned sleep (!) in the dorm. Once fully rested by the second day we managed to both get ...

After arriving on the 'no rabbits/no spitting' bus from Taman Negara it was good to get back to some civilisation in KL (and get some laundry done!). Our dorm was interesting though - on the first night we had an algerian guy who had drunk 2 bottles of whisky singing 'boys, boys, boys' for a while! He was on the bed opposite the guy who had been run over by a motorbike in Phuket and couldnt move without his painkillers! Oh, and of course the crazy...

 We are a bit hungover this morning, Pete has gone off to explore Singapore but I stayed in bed in the haven that is our air conditioned dorm. The sun is blazing down outside and it must be nearly 40 degrees. not the best conditions for exploring the city on foot with a self induced headache. Will fill you on Malaysia when I am feeling more awake.
