I have just left the MCG early on day three after a spectacularly bad performance by England with both bat and ball. When Mahmood lost his wicket and we were 109-7 still 150 runs behind I lost hope and decided to beat the crowds. Still had two really good days as I was sat with the barmy army. Gutted!!! We just lost the final of the Grampians Pentanque Championship 2006. Pete, myself and a fellow backpacker (Jan from Munich) lost in the final 13-10. We took on all comers from the surrounding villages. To be fair we lost to a team who beat the Victoria state champions only weeks ago but I am still upset that we lost.
