Meet my new boots Lenny and Reindle that's Lenny on the left [your right) and Reindle on the right (your left). Decided to start using them even though its still quite muddy on the footpaths. Started following the path to Tirley and back that's 7 and a half miles in the morning every other day followed by a 4 and half mile round Ashleworth in the late afternoon or early eve. Planning to swap the Tirley walk with the Malvern Hills when weather improves and walks to Glos Quays and back. Have had a few offers of company which is really nice. Raised £350 so far which is fantastic but there's more to go yet to reach the target. I really hope people start to believe that I can do this and get sponsoring! As you can see I'm gradually breaking in the boots. I will soon have to start carrying a loaded back pack as part of the training.Its weird wearing fairly tight leather boots after wearing wellies all the time, butI have to say Meindle certainly know what they're doing when it comes to boot construction, but I guess that's the Germans for you " vorsprung durch tecnik" and all that.
