Well... this is a tad different to 7 years ago when I walked the Camino in Spain...
No training ( well some )
No dog
No send off
No fund raising
No hostels
No frigin pandemic! ... but besides being older, less fit and still not knowing what the straps on my ruck sack are for,
I’m still delighted and excited to be starting an adventure with my daughter Olivia, walking the West Highland Way. 100 miles approx from Milngavie ( just north of Glasgow) to Fort William. We will hopefully be boarding the plane to Glasgow this pm. I say hopefully as this is ‘ the time of COVID’. With any luck and a viable temperature test at check in, tomorrow morning we will be on the trail trod by hundreds of sheep drovers through the highlands of Scotland or maybe just having breakfast in Milngavie ! We will see.
