Well we are now in Krabi, took us 12 hours to get here yest by taxi 2 boats and then 2 buses, bit epic as it really isnt that far. As with most of the places this travel agent booked us we are in the middle of no where but we do have a pool so we are going to spend today chilling and then book a trip for tomorrow and then the next day we are going to book to go to Koh Phi Phi, its meant to be a bit of a party island with no cars on, sounds good to me. hehe. Then we are heading back to Bangkok to sort out visas and stuff for Laos and Cambodia.
Me and Kirsty are getting on fine actually, no problems there, accept every time she drinks her stomach plays up and she cant leave the room for a day or so, which is poo for her but poo for me too unless we have met people to entertain me. But not her fault really, I have said she isnt allowed to drink now though. hehe.
Koh Tao was lovely, a complete divers paradise and it seams if you dive you are very unlikely to leave the island and the guy in our accomadation was suprised to hear nthat we were happy to leave at the end of our stay. hehe. The snorkiling day was good fun, although all of the coral we saw was dead so not very exciting. We did meet some nice people though, a girl called Beth from Bristol, Alister, Emily and Luke from Cambridge and Esther from Spain. We all met in the evening for BBQ at the same place me and Kirsty had been 2 nights in a row cause it was amazing. It was really nice and we heard that there was a festival on on Fri so we arranged to meet to go there.
On Friday we met about 3 and played some cards till about 4 when we thought it cool enough to move hehe, and headed to Sairee beach where the "Save Koh Tao" festival was. We obviously got there really early as there wasnt much going on but we sat and got some food from the little stalls and started on the large Chang beers. Kirsty sticking to water as feeling ill. She decided to head home early as it was soo bad. So we all stayed there chatting and drinking, then dancing with some lady boys to the crazy thai music. We even moved onto buckets later on although I was very controlled knowing I had to get a boat the next day. We stayed out till 2.30am though, I was quite impressed. hehe.
We have all swapped facebook names so hopefully we will find each other as Luke had a big professional camera so Im hoping to nab so of the really cool pics he took.
