Just thought I'd give you an update although not much has happened. We arrived safely in Koh Phangan, finally, after our trains we managed to get on the wrong bus, meaning we missed ours, so we had to wait from about 8.30 in the morning till 12.30 to get the next one. Also we had to eat Thai for breakfast for the first time, I had Phad Thai, which is noodles with spring onions and egg, and Kirsty had egg fried rice it was so wierd but they seam to eat the same for beakfast lunch and dinner, I couldnt do it myself.So we finally got the fairy at 2pm arriving here about 4.30. We had the usual harassment from taxi drivers and such but made it to our accommodation ok. I don't know if its me getting too annoyed but the Thai people seam really untrustworthy and only willing to help you if they are making money out of you, although the people running our accommodation are lovely so maybe that's just in the cities. Our place is lovely, its not in Haad Rin, which is the main party city here where the full moon party is etc but its about a 15 min taxi drive away which costs about 100baht to get to ( about 1.10, sorry there is no pound sign on this keyboard). We are in little bungalows right on the beach, I'm going to attempt to put some pics up on facebook. Last night we ventured into Haad Rin for a night out. It was crazy, we spent the whole night on the beach drinking buckets, which they put a quart of vodka in, a can of coke and a small bottle of redbull, needless to say we are feeling a little worse for wear today, Kirsty is still in bed (she was really wasted). We met a really nice couple from Bournemouth and spent most of the night talking to them. I have managed to get up have some breakfast at about 12 (scrambled eggs on toast no noodles) and have spent the rest of the day led in a hammock next to the sea reading, its been amazing just to chill somewhere so beautiful.
