And so to Uluru! And for all you uneducated people out there, Ayers Rock (I only found out since Ive been in Oz). The miles we have to cover in a day are huge so we didn't do much else today!
We crossed the border which was pretty cool. But apart from that it was all about getting to Uluru in time for sunset. We got to camp and sorted out food etc. Then we made the short journey to the sunset point. Of course there were hundreds of others to see the spectical too, but that didn't take away from the magic. This is one special rock, it is truely breathtaking. The sunset is supposed to make it glow where the sun reflects off the red desert to the west. It turned out to be very cloudy so didn't quite get the effect we were after but it was still AMAZING. Marion, being the sweetie that she is, shared her champagne with us. It was a truely memorable night, those pictures will stay in my mind forever and was so good to be sharing it with some beautiful new friends.
