So arrived in Nelson on Saturday. Staying in the nicest hostel- it has a swimming pool, sauna, spa plus free breakfast and dinner! Yesterday Donna left to head back to queenstown and I stayed on to visit Abel Tasman National Park. I went on a boat ride which drops you off in the middle of the park to start a 4hour trek back. I did it in 2 and found myself in the middle of nowhere with noone around at the end. It was also raining really hard and I had no water or food and thought I was going to die! (Well maybe not quite) eventually found a very nice man who gave me a lift to a shop and then back to the place I started and made me hot chocolate! very sweet. Just one more night in Nelson and then on to Greymouth.
